Matthew J. De Geeter to Bring Strategic Leadership to Design at Work New York
Founder and Chief Strategist of De Geeter Co. Matthew J. De Geeter joins the Founding Steering Committee, bringing nearly 20 years of experience spanning interior design, association leadership and business strategy.

That’s the perspective Matthew J. De Geeter, CAE, MBA, NCIDQ brings to the Design at Work New York Founding Steering Committee.
As Founder and Chief Strategist of De Geeter Co., Matthew advises organizations across the built environment, association and enterprise sectors, helping translate strategic vision into high-performing operational systems. His nearly 20-year career has spanned interior design, association leadership and business administration, giving him a perspective that connects design thinking with organizational strategy and execution.
Previously Senior Vice President of Strategic Enterprises at the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), Matthew led enterprise strategy that generated $1,200,000 in realized and projected non-dues revenue, launched a national committee system supporting more than 140 volunteers and helped grow membership by more than 4,500.
Working alongside fellow members of the Founding Steering Committee, Matthew will help shape the content, thought leadership, key initiatives and overall direction of Design at Work New York, bringing a strategic perspective to how the event creates value, strengthens industry connections and supports the future of workplace design.
His appointment reflects Design at Work New York’s commitment to creating an event informed by the people shaping the industry. Bringing together expertise from architecture, interior design, workplace strategy, corporate real estate, research and the wider built environment, the Founding Steering Committee will play a central role in shaping an event driven by innovation, collaboration and real-world insight.

A recognized industry thought leader, Matthew has delivered more than 50 presentations and publications on strategic operations and the built environment and serves on advisory boards at Ball State University and Boston Architectural College.
Over the coming weeks, Design at Work New York will continue introducing the members of its Founding Steering Committee, each bringing distinct expertise and perspectives to help shape the launch edition of North America’s dedicated workplace design event.
Design at Work New York will take place March 10–11, 2027, at the Javits Center, New York City, bringing together architects, interior designers, workplace strategists, corporate real estate professionals, manufacturers and industry leaders for two days of product discovery, ideas, learning and meaningful connection.
